Jozwik, S. L. & Douglas, K. H. (2017). Effects of a Technology-Assisted Reading Comprehension Intervention for English Learners with Learning Disabilities. Reading Horizons, 56(2), 42-63.
This article discusses the ability of technology to be helpful to English learners with learning disabilities. It explores a small study on how technology was helpful to the students with LD. The students found technology helpful and the results also proved the technology to be helpful. The article also discusses the positive implications it could have if we continue to do research like this one and use technology as an extra resource and support for our students.

Bione, T.,Grimshaw,J., & Cardoso, W. (2016). An Evaluation of Text-to-Speech Synthesizers in the Foreign Language Classroom: Learners Perceptions.
This article compares the differences between a Text-To-Speech Synthesizer and a Human and how students feel about it. Students don't favor the Synthesizer but they do speak favorably about it. With the advancement in technology this could be a good tool for students who do not have access to native speakers.
